Head of Group for Food Quality Policy and Food Labelling, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Government of Serbia
Branislav Raketić is a Head of Group for Food Quality and Food Labelling at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia.
He has been working on different positions within the Ministry since 2013 on preparing and aligning regulations with EU in the area of quality schemes for agricultural products and foodstuffs, institutional set-up for Food Quality Policy (except wine and spirit drinks) – protected designation of origin (PDO), protected geographical indication (PGI), traditional specialty guaranteed (TSG) and organic products – and on the cooperation between the designated competent authorities, setting up of the control system and market surveillance, etc.
He has also cooperated with the Ministry of Trade on developing national standards for numerous foods and beverages.
Since 2017, he has been the Resident Twinning Advisor for the Delegation of the European Commission to the Republic of Serbia, working on strengthening capacities for implementation and further development of the legislative framework in the field of organic production and food quality policy.
