Alan Coxon is a renowned international chef with experience in leading Michelin star restaurants and 5 star hotels, and with a vast career in media, filming more than 1,250 TV shows to date for networks such as BBC 2, BBC Worldwide, ITV 1, Channel 5 and Food Network.
His TV shows have been screened in more than 89 countries around the world, and in a BBC independent poll, Alan was once voted within the top 10 favourite TV Chef presenters of the world. Alan is also the author of 5 food and travel cookbooks to date (2 of which have been rated in the top three “Best Cookbooks of the world”).
Alan was invited by the British Prime Minister’s office under the premiership of David Cameron to become the British ambassador for food and drink where part of his role is to cook for British Ambassadors and VIP functions around the world. He is also the UK Ambassador for the Organisation Mondial de la Gastronomie, International Ambassador for the Chefs World Summit Monte Carlo and honorary Patron for the charity UNICHEF.
Owing to Alan`s global contacts and his development work with food concepts, including the creation of his own multi award winning food range, he incorporates his extensive work and knowledge within that of retail and distribution to assist others. In a consultancy and advisory capacity, Alan assists food producers from around the world enter or expand within global retail and hospitality sectors, introducing them to key buyers, retailers, distributers and chefs.
